- Update your resume.

Now, just start taking them, including having a trusted friend or colleague review your updated resume with a constructively critical, objective eye.
- Step up your networking game.
Maybe you’ve put networking on the back burner, despite the fact that you’re well aware of how many doors it can open. Proactively reach out to your contacts and connections, and don’t skip those upcoming industry events or conferences. Put these tasks on your weekly calendar or to-do list so you don’t keep procrastinating.
- Learn something new.
No one knows everything they need to, about everything. You may be good, but you’re not that good! Now is the time to activate your commitment to lifelong learning by taking a course, going back to school, or earning that certification.
- Get a promotion.
Easier said than done? Maybe. Or maybe not. It certainly won’t happen if you just sit back and do nothing. Prove your worth in your company and demonstrate the value you could bring to a new role. Start by talking to your manager and learning what you have to work on to improve. Then, map out the steps you need to take to be promotion ready.
- Quit your current job.
Say what?! Sure, it may sound radical, but listen. The market is in your favor, so if your job is a bummer or you’ve hit a brick wall and can’t go any further, there’s bound to be an opportunity waiting for you. Kick start things in the right direction.
- Get organized.
Start 2023 off right by getting everything in order so you can better manage your time and you always know where you are with things. A good, relatively easy-to-handle place to start is by organizing your desk. Also get rid of digital clutter by deleting unimportant files and programs so your devices run more efficiently.
