On March 8th, 1857, a group of women working in the textile industry marched through the streets of New York City to protest their inhumane working conditions and the inequality they faced as women. This groundbreaking event was one of the first organized strikes by female workers, and although it may not have had the impact these women hoped for at the time, it certainly paved the way for future generations.

Decades later, in 1908, female clothing manufacturers once again marched through the streets of New York City, demanding better sweatshop conditions, an end to child labor, and suffrage for women everywhere. These movements eventually led to the official recognition of March 8th as an international observance by the United Nations in 1975, a day to celebrate the many ways in which women have contributed to society and continue to do so today.

As a women-owned staffing company, we believe in honoring the accomplishments of women and supporting their continued success in all aspects of life. Women have broken barriers and overcome obstacles throughout history, making significant contributions in fields ranging from science and technology to the arts and politics. Their contributions deserve recognition and celebration.

While we celebrate the amazing achievements of women past and present, we acknowledge that there is still more work to be done to support and empower women. We must strive for a world where women are valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to succeed. As a women-owned staffing company, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. By promoting gender equality, we can create a better world for all.

We encourage everyone to take this time to celebrate the women in their lives and support organizations that work towards advancing women in their careers and beyond. Let’s unite to recognize and celebrate the incredible achievements of women and work towards a brighter future where all women can thrive.
